Prince of Songkla University has established collaboration with Vega Thai Mart W.L.L., through the generous support from H.E. Mr. Thanis Na Songkhla, Ambassador of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Vega Thai Mart operates Thai Mart Bahrain, a shopping center that features premium Thai products and services. Through this collaboration, PSU established its own academic outlet under the name PSU Academy, to promote study programs alongside innovative research products from PSU to students and other interested parties from countries in the Middle East region. PSU Academy also offers unique services such as medical checkup packages and Thai traditional medical services.
PSU has been collaborating with institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a number of fields, involving both the public and private sector. Regarding Thai Mart Bahrain, Mr. Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, Chief Executive Officer of Vega Thai Mart W.L.L, has generously donated 24 square meter space inside Thai Mart Bahrain for a period of one year to support university activities. A testament to its successful entrepreneurial spirit, Thai Mart Bahrain is the first Thai business center in the Middle East with 100% of shares belonging to the Thai private sector.
PSU Academy W.L.L officially opened on 1 February 2021. It is open daily from 12.00 to 22.00, ready to provide advice and services to those in the Middle East region.
