PSU Lecturer awarded the first title of Professor in Korean Language in Thailand

          On June 25, 2016, the PSU Council agreed to confer to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parit Yinsen, Dean of the PSU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the title of Professor, making him the first Professor of Korean language in Thailand at the age of 39. This nomination will further strengthen the teaching and learning of Korean language at PSU Pattani Campus, which is the first Thai educational institution to teach Korean.

          Prof. Dr. Parit Yinsen made his studies at the Faculty of Education, PSU Pattani Campus, at the Department of Primary Education. After graduation he received a scholarship to study for his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in South Korea. He has been serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences since 2014.

          Prof. Dr. Parit Yinsen wrote several publications related to study Korean, and a total of nine books including Korean tours, Korean for hotel management, Korean for secretaries and professional career, Korean language and culture, and phonetic Korean textbooks (with specifics on the linguistics, as the first volume in Thailand).
