PSU to initiate new cooperation with University of Yamanashi, Japan

A PSU delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perapong Tekasakul, Vice President for Research System and Graduate Studies, visited the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Yamanashi in Japan. The objective of this visit was to discuss possible educational cooperation between the two universities, such as student exchange and joint research in mutual areas of interest. Two PSU lecturers graduated with a doctoral degree from University of Yamanashi and a PSU student is currently studying at this university.

 

After a lecture at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, PSU representative also visited the Climate Chamber, Actinomycetes Laboratory, as well as other departments, and had the chance to visit the Nobel Prize exhibition, which displays the history of discovery of Ivermectic and other important researches. Moreover, in this place Dr. Satoshi Omura studied science and is the pride of the University of Yamanashi.

As a conclusion of this visit, the administrators of the University of Yamanashi agreed with the PSU representative to initiate exchanges of staff and students, as well as joint research in mutually beneficial fields.

Moreover, after this successful visit, PSU administrators also visited Chiba University.
