       On June 15, 2015, His Royal Highness the King of Thailand, graciously appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul to a second presidential term at Prince of Songkla University from June 1, 2015 onwards.

        The first presidential term, which started on June 1, 2012, was due to expire on May 31, 2015. A Prince of Songkla University Council meeting on March 14, 2015, has approved the initiative to respectfully ask His Royal Highness the King of Thailand, for the gracious appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul to a second presidential term, starting on June 1, 2015.

       Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul graduated with a Diplome de Docteur-Ingenieur and a Diplome d'Etudes Approfodies in Engineering from the Institute National Des Sciences Appliquees de Toulouse, France, and received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a major in Electrical Engineering (Electronics), from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok. Dr. Chusak started working in the government sector as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University, since December 1978.

       During his illustrious career, Dr. Chusak held several key positions, including Acting Director of the PSU Scientific Equipment Center, Head of PSU Department of Electrical Engineering, Acting Dean of the School of Engineering and Resources, Walailak University, Dean of the PSU Faculty of Engineering, Vice President for PSU Research System and Graduate Studies, and President of Prince of Songkla University.

       Earlier this year, Dr. Chusak received the prestigious "Man of the Year 2015” award in the field of education management and organization development from His Excellency Mr. Ampol Senanarong, Privy Councilor, in an event organized by the Thai Awards Committee of the Thai Foundation. Furthermore, in February 2015, the University of Novi Sad Council, Serbia, granted an honorary degree to Dr. Chusak in recognition of the long-standing and fruitful collaboration between Prince of Songkla University and the University of Novi Sad.
