On 1 March 2019, a delegation of six PSU top administrators visited the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Bangkok to discuss establishing cooperation with educational institutions in Saudi Arabia. The PSU delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, PSU President, and consisted of Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammadroflee Waehama, Dean, College of Islamic Studies, Dr. Asman Taeali, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Samoh, Deputy Director of the Centre for Arabic Testing and Skill Enhancement in Islamic Studies, and Mrs. Salma Kosumphant, Head of the International Affairs Office. First among universities in Thailand to do so, the PSU delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Abdulelah Mohummed A. Alsheaibie, Charge d'Affaires, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Bangkok, and Dr. Yuosef Abdullah S. Alhumoudi, Islamic consultant at the Embassy, who expressed their support to facilitate such activities. Leading these activities is a collaborative pilot project at the Centre for Arabic Testing and Skill Enhancement, PSU College of Islamic Studies, along with a student exchange program with the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, for a period of one year.
