A group of 14 delegates from Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT), P.R. China, visited PSU from 25 January - 7 February 2015, as part of a Cultural Exchange Program under the MOU between GDUT and PSU. The GDUT delegates were warmly welcomed by Dr. Paphavee Van Dommelen, Assistant President for International Affairs and Foreign Students, on 27 January.
The visiting staff and students had the chance to experience the Thai culture through many enjoyable activities, such as gatherings to exchange knowledge and experiences with PSU students, Thai conversation courses, Thai Dancing class, Thai Traditional Musical Instrument class, Traditional Thai Medicine Workshop, and Southern Thai Style Art Workshop. The GDUT delegates also visited the PSU library and PSU History Hall, and had the chance to visit tourist attractions in Songkhla and Trang provinces.
On 2 February, PSU and GDUT students demonstrated the beauty of the Thai and Chinese traditions via an amazing Cultural Performance. Students presented wonderful Thai and Chinese dances, songs and martial arts, which enchanted the numerous spectators.
This visit greatly benefited the GDUT and PSU students, who exchanged and learned about the traditions and culture of both countries, as well as about the academic environment and study approaches at both universities.
