Mr. Thamrong Chareonkul, Songkhla Provincial Governor, signed an MoU with Mr. Nipon Boonyamanee, Chairman of Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization, Mr. Apinan Srisamanuwat, Chairman of the Federation of Songkhla Industries, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, President of Prince of Songkla University, for innovation-based economy planning and strategy development of Songkhla province, on June 19, 2015.
The purpose of the agreement is to jointly define policies, strategies and plans for the innovative development of Songkhla province, through the creation of a special economic development zone in the province. A joint committee from the four signing parties will be tasked with policy development and plan implementation during the period of 2015-2020.
