Kanazawa University delegates Prof. Dr. Nobuo Suzuki, Prof. Dr. Masami Furuuchi, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yoichiro Kitani paid a visit to four campuses of PSU: Hat Yai, Pattani, Surat Thani, and Phuket, from 11-20 January 2018. The objective of this visit was to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two universities in the field of marine science, and to encourage short-term student exchange. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattara Aiyarak, Vice President for Global Relations and Informatics, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Perapong Tekasakul, Vice President for Research System and Graduate Studies, chaired the wrap-up meeting on 16 January 2018. Productive visits to PSU relevant faculties offering courses in marine science or other related fields promoted the implementation of MOU between the two universities. A joint research project in marine science between Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thumronk Amornsakun from PSU Faculty of Science and Technology and Prof. Dr. Nobuo Suzuki from the Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology, Kanazawa University, has been developed, while short-term student exchange has also been discussed.
