For more than a decade, PSU and KU have continually conducted various kind of academic activities including student exchange, joint research, and joint workshops. PSU and KU recently agreed to develop double Master’s degree programs and double Doctoral degree programs in mutual areas, namely electrical engineering and computer engineering. Both universities expect to enroll the first batch of students under the double degree programs in the academic year 2019.
Another significant progress of the relationship between PSU and KU is the establishment of the PSU Liaison Office in KU, and KU Liaison Offices in three campuses of PSU, specifically in Hat Yai, Surat Thani, and Phuket campuses. The liaison offices of both universities will serve as the important centers to provide information and accelerate the activities between the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Koetsu Yamazaki also extended his trip to PSU Phuket campus for the official inauguration of the KU Liaison Office, as well as for the Opening Ceremony of the 6th PSU - KU Joint Workshop, which is an important platform for researchers and graduate students from both sides to exchange interesting ideas and present their research projects.
