From 7-9 December 2023, the Student Development and Alumni Relations Division, PSU Hat Yai Campus, held the 37th IMT-GT Varsity Council Coordination Meeting. This event brought together 12 member universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The meeting started with a welcome reception at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies on December 7, 2023. On December 8, 2023, the meeting officially commenced and was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirote Youravong, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Affairs, PSU and Vice President of the IMT-GT Varsity Council, along with Dr. Panida Suksrimuang, Assistant President for Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prapas Muangchanburi, Assistant President for Sports and Community Relations, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpawee Pumkerd, Director of the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Cultural Studies. PSU staff and students extended a warm welcome and actively participated in the meeting.
The IMT-GT Varsity Council was established with the aim of fostering collaboration in student development. Each year, the IMT-GT Varsity Carnival is organized, featuring three main activities: a student leadership seminar, sports competitions, and cultural exchange. The council consists of 12 member universities, including:
