PSU participated in the Thai-German Academic Network project, signing a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the development of medical technology

On 8 February 2024, the PSU by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs participated in an academic conference for the Thai-German Academic Network project. During this event, they signed a Letter of Intent Exploring Synergies: Kick-off Meeting for the Thai - German Academic Network Project to explore synergies across various disciplines, including the medical technology development, agriculture, veterinary science, and engineering. The aim was to foster knowledge and experience sharing. The conference took place at the Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Province.

This conference marks a significant stride forward, symbolizing a collective dedication to innovation and advancement. It signals progress in the transformation and innovation of medical, health, agricultural, medical technology, agriculture, engineering, and veterinary science, which profoundly impact human life and society in various aspects. These disciplines are major drivers in generating positive impacts on global well-being and addressing contemporary challenges. Furthermore, this event represents a convergence of world-class experts with the aim of advancing knowledge for professors, researchers, and facilitating profound data exchanges as well as developing strategies to enhance the positive impacts of aforementioned fields. The participation such as Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, and Khon Kaen University adds significant academic value and fosters effective cooperation and collaboration within the academic community.

However, the letters of intent that signed during the event underscore a commitment to collaboration in various areas such as medical innovation, health, agriculture, medical technology, agriculture, engineering, and animal sciences. The feasibility and benefits of this collaboration have been assessed among the four universities which are Khon Kaen University, Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, and a university in the Federal Republic of Germany under the Thai-German academic network. This cooperation endeavor in driving positive impacts on global well-being and addressing challenges both present and future.
