PSU students and alumni from the team “This heart for The Community” received a prize for best community e-commerce business model at the national level, while the “DO PRO” team from the Faculty of Management Science won the national championship.
The business idea contest was organized by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. Locally, the competition was supported by the PSU Office of Human Resources and Social Missions. The event was part of a continuous project to develop digital coaches to support online business in the community, especially in the southern region, with the consultancy of Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwet Arunberkfa, Deputy Director of the Office of Human Resources and Social Mission. In the “Final Pitching” competition, the activity "Craft Idea" involved online business creation to generate income for sustainable community. True Digital Park gave an opportunity for new generations to propose ideas, e-commerce business models, and bring products and services to the community on a digital platform in order to earn more income and raise the digital economy expertise of the country, from 19 to 20 July, 2022. The results of the competition are as follows.
The “This heart for The Community” team consisted of Mr. Takorn Kamnerdphon, Faculty of Agro-Industry alumnus; Ms. Patnaree Rungveeratham, Faculty of Thai Traditional Medicine alumna; Ms. Aishah Mamu-uma, junior student, Faculty of Liberal Arts. The team received a prize of 100,000 baht, along with a plaque and certificate.
The “DO PRO” team consisted of Mr. Pattavekan Saetia, Ms.Pannipa Nilrat, and Mr.Aniwat Sangkahapong, advised by Mr. Laphassawat Subphonkulanan, Director of Marketing Department, PSU Faculty of Management Sciences. The team received a prize of 50,000 baht, a plaque, and a certificate.
The “Poison angels team” from Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Khon Kaen Campus, received the second runner-up award: 30,000 baht, a plaque, and a certificate
Judging criteria included pitching, marketing potential, plan implementation, and product/service performance. All teams presented their business plan in five minutes to the five qualified committee members: Ms. Atchariya Charoensak, Corporate Affairs Manager for Society, PTT Public Company Limited; Mr. Ratchawut Pitchayaphan, CEO & Co-founder, FIXZY; Dr. Nattapon Praditphonlert, Director and Executive Director, Thailand Small and Medium Enterprise Development; Mr. Kittisak Kunaritiphol, lecturer, Faculty of Business Ownership and Business Administration, Bangkok University (BUSEM); and Ms. Atcharaporn Mhudraden, Director of Corporate Communications and Head of ADTE by ETDA.
Competitors arrived from a network of four regional universities: Chiang Mai University, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and Prince of Songkla University. A total of 96 teams participated in the competition, and each team comprised of three members maximum, aged between 18 and 36 years.
