Delegates from the PSU Faculty of Natural Resources and the PSU International Affairs Office represented the university at the national Cluster Meeting of Erasmus+ CBHE projects at Kasetsart University in Bangkok on 21 November 2018. On the following day, a PSU institutional visit and project monitoring activity was carried out by the European Commission.
Cluster Meeting
The Education, Audio-Visual, Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Union has organized a cluster meeting for all Thai higher education institutions involved in Erasmus+ capacity building projects started in 2015, 2016, 2017 or 2018. The representatives of forty projects gathered to learn about the latest guidelines by the Project Advisor of the European Commission, Ms. Antonella Giorgio, while participants of successfully finished projects have also had the opportunity to present their experiences to the audience.
One of these presentations was held by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chutima Tantikitti, PSU Associate Dean for International Relations and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Natural Resources, leader of the PISAI (Participatory and Integrative Support for Agricultural Initiative) project. PSU is the coordinator of this project, making PISAI one of the few Erasmus+ projects led by an institution in ASEAN.
Institutional and Monitoring Visit
On 22 November 2018, the Project Advisor of the European Commission carried out a detailed monitoring of the PISAI project, as part of an institutional visit of PSU, where the 16 Erasmus+ projects currently involving PSU were audited. At the event, the PSU International Affairs Office team presented MARCO POLO, an internationalization capacity building project involving three ASEAN and three European countries. The Commissioner examined the current state of the projects and advised participants on their future course of action.
