PSU students selected for Global UGRAD Program

PSU sophomore Ms. Kuasma-amani Prasrinawong, and freshman Ms. Solya Sanchaiwaranan, both from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, PSU Hat Yai Campus, have been selected by Fulbright Thailand to participate in the prestigious Global Undergraduate Exchange Program. The Global UGRAD Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, is a fully funded academic and cultural exchange program that allows selected undergraduate students to spend one semester at universities in the USA, while staying with American host families for cultural enrichment and professional development.

Successful applicants need to pass several rounds of evaluations for this highly competitive program. For many consecutive years, PSU has fielded successful candidates, with full support from the Global Affairs Office and from their respective faculties in order to help them succeed. The winners of the current round will stay in the USA from January to May next year, and likely will receive several opportunities for networking, performing community service, and participating in internship programs.  Their increased leadership skills and global mindset will be put to good use upon returning to Thailand, where they will be expected to improve their communities.
