On 16-19 October 2023, the PSU led by PSU President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Relations, and Asst. Prof. Kanyika Chamniprasas, Vice Dean for Education, Faculty of Medicine, visited Kunming Medical University in the People's Republic of China.
During this visit, PSU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kunming Medical University. The two universities emphasized their commitment to cooperation, including the exchange of staffs and students, as well as increased research collaboration. The PSU President highlighted the importance of being a strategic partner of Kunming Medical University and was willing to support more cooperations between the universities.
Additionally, the PSU President participated in the 2nd President/Dean’s Forum of South and Southeast Asia Medical Education and Service Alliance (SSAMESA), and reported on the activities under the SSAMESA alliance and discussed future plans.
On 18 October 2023, the university delegation joined the 90th anniversary celebration of Kunming Medical University's, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng presented the university's vision for advancing into a leading institution in the new era at the "Academician and President Forum of “Setting Sail on A Long Voyage and Working Together for a New Chapter," alongside executives, administrators, academics from international institutions, and Nobel Laureates.
