World University Information and Higher Education Institution Rankings signify an important tool to reflect on the competence and development of a university, while also presenting information that students around the world use to select the higher education institution of their preference. Such rankings are also used as an important national quality indicator, a tool for monitoring and evaluating the achievements or developments of the tertiary education sector in 2021. THE is an organization that provides such data and rankings in a credible and efficient way. In 2022, more than 1,600 universities worldwide were ranked in 99 countries, with 17 Thai institutions of higher education reaching the top 601-800 in the world, including PSU. THE also serves as a consultant to the Office of the Permanent Secretary for MHSEI regarding indicator development used in World University Rankings, in order to foster higher competitiveness of educational institutions.
