H.E. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Ubaid, Acting Rector and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and two distinguished delegates from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, visited Prince of Songkla University (PSU) from August 14-15, 2015.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Pattara Aiyarak, Vice President for Global Relations and Informatics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chutamas Satasook, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kewalin Thammasitboon, Assistant President for International Relations; and representatives from the PSU College of Islamic Studies and International Affairs Office warmly welcomed the honorable visitors.
During the meeting, H.E. Prof. Al-Ubaid shared valuable information regarding the current academic developments at his university and expressed his hope of starting a strong cooperation with PSU. In the same way, PSU Vice Presidents conveyed their wish of establishing collaborative activities between the two universities such as joint programs and research collaboration. A Memorandum of Understanding between Islamic University of Madinah and PSU, which can facilitate the cooperative activities, was also proposed to be signed in the near future.
The honorable guests also had the chance to visit the PSU College of Islamic Studies in Pattani Campus and discuss more details regarding the future cooperation between the two universities.
