The International Seminar on “Raising Standards in Research through International Cooperation” under the Erasmus+ “MARCO POLO” Project

The International Seminar on “Raising Standards in Research through International Cooperation” took place from December 17-19, 2018 at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai, Thailand. This seminar is one of the activities organized under the Erasmus+ “MARCO POLO” Project, which has been funded with support from the European Commission and involves partners from three European countries (Austria, Spain and UK) and three South-East Asian countries (Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam).

The seminar provided a great venue for the speaker and participants to share their experiences and best practices in Research. About 40 PSU faculty members, international relations personnel, and international students from various faculties and campuses participated in the event.

The seminar, comprised of presentations, workshops and case studies, was conducted by Assoc. Prof. John Cleary from Heriot-Watt University, UK. He also shared experiences in Boosting Research Capacities through International Cooperation at Heriot-Watt University. Moreover, Bologna Process, Strategies and Perspectives in EU, and Research Evaluation Framework and QA System in the UK were introduced. Furthermore, Asst. Prof. Sunton Wongsiri, PSU Vice President for Research and Innovation, shared about PSU Good Practices on Research.
