CALOHEA national conference organized by PSU Faculty of Education in partnership with University of Groningen and ASEAN University Network

    The PSU Faculty of Education, in collaboration with International Tuning Academy, University of Groningen (RUG), and ASEAN University Network (AUN), organized the conference "CALOHEA Capacity Building: Implementing Student Workload Measurements for More Effective and Holistic Learning Outcomes in Thailand’s Higher Education" from 18-19 September 2023 in Songkhla province. The event was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, PSU President, and Dr. Maria Yarosh from Tuning Academy, University of Groningen, co-chairing the opening ceremony. PSU Vice President for Academic and International Affairs Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot presented the topic "Challenges of Students Workload to Promote Student Mobility and Internationalization." The conference featured local and international speakers, including higher education administrators, policy makers, faculty members, and students.

    The conference included a variety of activities such as policy dialogue and knowledge sharing sessions, attended by university administrators, faculty members, employers, students, and interested members of the public.

    The CALOHEA (Measuring and Comparing Achievements of Learning Outcomes in Higher Education in Asia) project was initiated in 2019, with participants from 31 universities worldwide. The PSU Faculty of Education was selected to be a part of this project in 2021, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekarin Sungtong, Dean of the Faculty of Education, serving as the project manager. The project's objective is to promote internationalization in higher education institutions and develop educational standards at the national and ASEAN levels in the future.
