PSU humbly offers 17 scholarships to Cambodian students under the Royal Sponsorship Project in the Kingdom of Cambodia

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted an audience to the representatives of Thai higher educational institutions offering scholarships to Cambodian students to further their higher education in Thailand, on June 8, 2017. PSU President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, and representatives from each relevant faculty, together with the fifth batch of 17 Cambodian scholarship students enrolled at PSU in the academic year 2016, attended this remarkable event at the Chitralada Palace.

PSU has been participating in the Royal Sponsorship Project, the Royal Contribution in Education to the Kingdom of Cambodia, since the 2012 academic year, by initially offering five scholarships in the undergraduate level to Cambodian students to study in the fields of Fishery Technology, Biology, Insurance and Risk Management, and Information Technology in three of the five PSU campuses, namely in Hat Yai, Pattani, and Trang campuses. The scholarships for graduate level were offered starting with the academic year 2013. About 30 Cambodians scholarship students under this project successfully graduated from various faculties at PSU since 2014. At present, the scholarship areas expand to other fields including Engineering, Thai Studies, Medicine, Applied Mathematics, ICT, Biology, Chemistry, Plant Science, Animal Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Digital Media, Earth System Science, and Tourism Business Management etc.
