From 1 to 4 September 2022, PSU students attended Youth Camp at the Suan Dusit Place Hotel, Suan Dusit University, Bangkok. Event participants presented area development projects under the BCG concept from five regions across the country in the "APEC Regional Youth Symposium" project. They brainstormed to solve regional development issues using economic model concepts. The activity was organized on the Youth in Charge platform by “In the Lead” (Social Enterprise) Co., Ltd., with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Research Office.
The four PSU teams participating in the event were team “Meta” (Hat Yai Campus), with the topic “Hydropower helps fisheries to reduce costs”; team “The Phoenix”, (Hat Yai Campus), with the topic “Tourism and creative economy”; team “HORIZON” (Surat Thani Campus), with the topic of “Phum Riang Breathing Project”; and team “WunWaiTaeChaoLoey” (Trang Campus), with the topic of “Mangosteens from the fence to the house”.
“The Phoenix” won the TAT choice award, a cash prize of 5,000 baht along with souvenirs from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The winning team consisted of Mr. Nathanon Janman, Ms. Nichakamol Momprasert, Ms. Panduangjai Harmwong, Mr. Chalermkiat Thaweerat, and Ms. Boossarin Watkian from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, and Ms. Phatsaramon Sangthong from the Faculty of Management Sciences.
