From August 30 to September 2, 2024, PSU, led by President Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, and university executives and staff, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Akira Hasegawa, President of the National Institute of Technology, Fukui College (NIT, Fukui College), Japan. Prof. Hasegawa was accompanied by three delegates, including Prof. Osamu Haraguchi, former Vice Director of the International Affairs Office, Asst. Prof. Keisuke Minowa, member of the International Affairs Office, and Mr. Naoki Maegawa, Chief of Student Affairs and International Affairs Officer. The two institutions participated in a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and discussed future development of their academic collaboration.
The collaboration between Prince of Songkla University (PSU) and the National Institute of Technology, Fukui College (NIT, Fukui College), Japan, has included student exchange programs since 2013, which have continued to flourish. Alongside the student exchanges, both institutions have engaged in ongoing academic exchanges, further strengthening their partnership over the years. This collaboration has played a significant role in enhancing academic and cultural ties between the two institutions, promoting mutual growth and development.
