On 16 October 2023, Prince of Songkla University welcomed a delegation of the European Union in Thailand (EU Thailand) and hosted their annual Roadshow event. In the morning session, PSU faculty, staff, and researchers learned about funding opportunities via Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects under the Erasmus+ program. In a subsequent panel discussion, PSU experts in foreign relations shared their experiences about working in EU projects.
In the afternoon, Ms. Laure Brachet, Head of the Political, Press, and Information Section of EU Thailand, explained the historical relationship between the European Union and Thailand, and highlighted various ways of cooperation between the two parties. The EU delegation then provided guidance on applying for EU-funded scholarships and fellowships for students and lecturers.
Ms. Laure Brachet and the EU team also met the university's management team in a discussion led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Assistant President for Promotion of Foreign Affairs. Participants, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Chutima Tantikitti, Foreign Relations Expert, and the Global Affairs team, explored opportunities for future academic collaboration.
